#29in29 Day 2

Well good morning little screw, where did you come from?

Fortunately it had lodged into the tread sideways, I pulled it out and the soapy water test reveals no leak. I marked the location on the tire and I carry a repair kit with me so I'll check it again today after work.

On the bright side I have a photo for day 2.

  2. Let's hope it's only a surface wound!
There is a lot of nasty crap on the roads right now. I hate it.

    1. I am surprised how long it is taking for the city to sweep the streets, they are usually on it right away.

  5. Look at you - You're on fire! ^_^

I've got my fingers crossed that its just a flesh wound. Strange though - you & NWX both had nail in tire pics today. Oregon better break out the street sweepers! http://northwestexplore.com/2012/02/the-old-nail-in-the-tire-magic-trick-29in29/

    1. Now we'll have to wait and see about endurance ;)
I forgot about Dane's blog, we met a couple years ago but he disappeared, thanks for the link.
The screw was just a scratch, the tire is still holding air.

  6. Nasty but lucky. I've actually had a similar thing happen to me when I had my Firestorm. Nice when the nail/screw/sharp thing doesn't ruin your day...
