"and now it's hailing"
... Irondad exclaimed as he rode across the training range after instructing the latest group of new riders.
Fortunately we were done on the range before the hail came pounding down, however I didn't quite get my helmet and gloves on soon enough to stay dry, so I did what any motorcycle blogger needing a photo for #29in29 would do and I stood out in the hail with camera in hand, snapping pictures.
The hail didn't stick around for very long, it was more just a little tap on the shoulder from mother nature reminding us that winter is still here for just a while longer.

You are one dedicated moto blogger... taking pics on any occasion. Well done.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most annoying things when riding in the hail is that friggin' noise it makes when hitting your helmet...
Glad this nasty reminder of the winter didn't stick around.
I managed to keep the hail out of my helmet but I wasn't so lucky with my gloves. I hunkered against the range shed for a minute or two until it passed.
DeleteYou are a braver soul than I. Today I decided to be a fairweather rider and hoped the weather would clear enough for a ride in some sunshine. I haven't experienced hail yet and think I would rather not be out in it anyway.
ReplyDeleteSunday was a much nicer day, I did get to ride to and from the range but I just wasn't up for a ride this afternoon.
DeleteWow, you guys really do get some crappy weather. Riding in hail? Yikes.
ReplyDeleteSo....one of us actually rode in the hail instead of hunkering against the shed. It was only over to the next parking lot, but it counts, right?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, here's something you may not have thought of. Defining "professional" as getting paid for something, you are on the verge of becoming a professional motorcyclist.
Food for thought.
Sure Dan it counts, or... one of us rode away while the other toughed it out.
DeleteHmmm, a professional motorcyclist, thanks, I like it.
