Contain Yourself

I have to say, my new job has certainly given me a new perspective.

After five years of operating a forklift loading and unloading shipping containers, one spends many an hour and sometimes many a day inside an 8' x 40' dark, windowless steel box.

  1. Nice office view! Are those doors on the sides of the containers?

  2. Love watching these guys work. Big equipment moving big loads, yet so gentle and perfect when they place stuff. Not how it would go if I tried it 😝

    1. It was fun to watch them work, and had quite the audience. They placed the containers with exact precision, of course with much more practice than you or I.

  3. Great if you get paid for stuff you actually like to do. I'd call that a win-win situation ;-)

    1. It is great and a win-win as my week started playing with cranes and ended getting paid to ride.

  5. I’m so glad to read that you love your job! I enjoyed the pics. Much better than viewing life, or at least large portions of it, from inside those boxes.
